Upper/lower splits allow you to train each muscle group twice per week with adequate recovery between sessions, which is ideal for both strength and muscle growth.

Expect 60-75 minutes per session including warm-up and rest periods. Compound lifts require 3 minutes rest, while accessory work needs 60-90 seconds.

The program is designed with optimal volume for recovery. Adding more can hurt your progress. Follow it as written first to see how your body responds.
